Happy 4th of July!

So the 4th of July was so awesome this year!

Kim and I woke up at 5:15 am so that we could go help volunteer at the Freedom Run at Kiwanis Park. The run started at 7:00 am, but we had to be there at 5:30 to help with registration and such.

Alex and Maggie ran the 10K, so it was cute to see them run together. I love them!

Then, we went to the parade on University Avenue, which was lots of fun. Utah is really big into parades :) I can't wait until July 24th to see what awesome happenings occur then...

Anyway, the excitement definitely did not stop there!

We hosted a barbeque (well, kind of). We wanted to have an ACTUAL legit barbeque, but the barbeque at our complex was taken, so we had to settle for an over-the-stove barbeque, which turned out to be lots of fun.

Kim took charge of the stove cookin'. She looks so pro in her awesome apron...
